Doug Hill, Broker Associate
I am Doug Hill, a relocated Connecticut Yankee in the Florida Keys. I arrived in Key Largo in 1996 and married an Island girl, Danielle.
During our first years of marriage, we moved to Raleigh, where I served as Vice President of a construction company. In 2008, The company was recognized as Builder of the year for the Home Builders Association. These years as a land developer contributed to my knowledge for my future in Commercial Real Estate. Shortly after, in 2012, Danielle and I returned to the Keys making this our permanent home.
Upon returning to Key Largo, I found my place in the commercial community as controller for one of the Florida Keys largest retail stores. I joined American Caribbean Real Estate in 2014 specializing in Commercial Real Estate.
Since that time, I have marketed and sold restaurants, retail stores, and motels. I also manage leased properties for clients. The sale that still makes me smile is the unique property purchased by the College of the Florida Keys that will become their North Key Largo campus affording many continued education opportunities for our community.
I have 18 years of Real Estate experience and am a licensed Broker in both Florida and North Carolina.
As President of Habitat for Humanity, I have been able to address one of the significant challenges to our small community, Fair housing for the workforce. Danielle and I also support local charities where we can and are often attending fundraisers, donating, and supporting those dearest to us.
When not working, you can find me in our Key Largo Cottage with Gracie, our dog, the rescued princess, out on the water, or on a golf course.

My career started in the Kendall area and went on to include Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and Aventura during the height of its growth. I have had property in the Keys for 38 years and have lived permanently here since 1999 when I started managing and selling real estate here in the Upper Keys
